Gameserver under constant DDOS attack

Dear Warfarians,

As you all know, we have been receiving DDOS attacks on and off this past few weeks. Our engineers are doing their best and are working around the clock to mitigate these attacks. Since it’s a new form of DDOS attack, our engineers are solely working on rebuilding our current anti-DDOS structure from scratch. This entire rebuilding process may take up to 2-3 weeks to ensure the DDOS attacks are mitigated.

Warfarians may encounter several issues or notifications that may indicate a DDOS attack such as:

  • Stuck at “CHECKING” issue on launcher
  • “Connection to authorization server lost” notification before character selection
  • “Connecting to Warfare Online” blinking on character selection
  • “Game server under maintenance” notification on launcher
  • Sudden disconnection while in-game
  • Latency experienced in game

It is our humble request that Warfarians be patient and allow the team to work on a new anti-DDOS. The game server will continue to strive for an up-time during the next few weeks, however due to the constant DDOS attacks, it may face unexpected down-times from time to time.
